Hi Rachel, well if you’ve got Jamie as your go-to person, I’m sure you’ve been given lots of valuable advice already and she will pair you up with the right dog.
Troy came to us from Greece nearly 3 years ago and I couldn’t imagine life without him. The process was all quite straight forward and it was just making sure he was fit to travel. Got sent photos daily whilst they were travelling.

We rescued Santa (now Scapa) from Bulgaria. He arrived to us on Halloween 2022. He is the sweetest, best natured dog we could have asked for. He stayed on the sofa for a few days post travel but within a week or so he clearly felt he had arrived home.
Jaime made the process very stress free. You won't regret it.

My rescue from Spain Felipe. I highly recommend Jaime Hepburn - everything was well organised from start to finish.

Hi Rachel I adopted Evie (Stevie) through Jamie almost three years ago from Bulgaria. The whole process was stress free for me. I was kept informed every step of the way. She settled very quickly and was and still is the sweetest girl with a high prey drive, which is managed with training and lots of exercise. We bonded immediately and love our life together.

Hi Rachel - we adopted in Feb a boy who had lost his sparkle due to ill health of his owner and was underweight from stress. This group and Especially Jaime Hepburn and the team supported and guided us through and we now have a lovely boy who is the most sweetest soul.

We adopted Ember nearly 5 years ago through Jamie. Loads of support and prep. We were first time GWP owners but were given lots of advice and direction.
There was lots of training to do and we had to work hard - basically she was a lot cleverer than us and set about training her humans enthusiastically- we eventually caught on and managed to reverse things so we were training her. She is the most wonderful dog, she really is.

We adopted Roupol 8 years ago, she is our second. Getting her to the UK proved complicated but Jaime and the team got it sorted and Roupol eventually arrived safely. From the start she was a sweetie and loved everyone. In short it may be challenging but you'll get all the help you need and the rewards are immense .

Hi Rachel, we are also first time GWP owners and adopted Rey from Spain 2 years ago now. She was only 10 months when she travelled over and was anxious at first, she jumped a mile when a bus drove past for the first time! She is now very happy, settled and enjoying her walks and playing with our children. She really has the loveliest nature and is so good with all people, dogs and even at the vets! We wouldn’t be without her now, even when she does sometimes pinch food.

Hi Rachel, we are first time GWP. We adopted Flo from Spain 4 years ago. The whole experience was very easy from start to finish, Jaime and her team do a fantastic job and have always been available to answer any question I’ve had. Flo settled well into family life, she’s completed her bronze and silver training awards and loves nothing better than slipping on her canicross harness and getting out for a run. I’m sure you won’t regret having a rescue.

I have a 2 year old rescue from Bulgaria. The process with Jaime was good. Olive is coming on but was clearly a street dog previously and very raw. It’s been a tough 6 months and I don’t regret it. However you need to be sure you understand the needs of this breed. I had a GSP before and thought I knew what to expect. I didn’t!

I got Netty through Jaimie and GWP UK rescue. They were fabulous and kept me informed every step of the way. It took about a week to get Netty over from Malaga in Spain. That included obtaining her pet passport and vaccinations etc.
We bonded immediately and she was definitely a Mommies girl. I can honestly say, she is the best dog I’ve ever had. A gentle sweetheart who just wants to please me any way she can. She’s 12 1/2 now and is still happy running round the field and chasing a ball with her other doggie pals in the park.
